Vishal Nigam

About Vishal

Engineer. Operator. Still building.

I'm an engineer from Allahabad. I spent a decade building AI and machine learning systems.

The real one. Not a render.

Then I walked into failing neighbourhood gyms and asked one question: what if a gym ran on systems instead of heroics?

That became WTF. I pitched it on Shark Tank India and all five sharks said no. I built it anyway.

Today WTF runs 260+ gyms, does ₹96 Cr in annual recurring revenue, and is profitable — with 0% closures since inception.

I believe businesses win on dhanda, not ideas: a sharper offer, a clear sales process, numbers you actually track, and a team that doesn't depend on one person. That's what I teach.

The arc

Six chapters. Every scar included.

    01 · ALLAHABAD

    An engineer from Allahabad.

I trained as an engineer. I still start every business problem the same way: ask why it breaks.

  2. Collage illustration: an engineer coding beside hand-drawn neural network sketches

    02 · THE AI YEARS

    A decade in AI.

I spent ten years building AI and machine learning systems. It taught me to trust data over opinions — and that tech alone never fixes a business.

  3. Collage illustration: a dim, empty gym with rusty weights and peeling paint

    03 · THE FAILING GYM

    Inside gyms that were dying.

I embedded myself in failing neighbourhood gyms. What I learned there: the problem is rarely the equipment. It is the offer, the sales and the numbers.

  4. Collage illustration: five empty chairs on a studio stage with a red REJECTED stamp

    04 · REJECTED

    All five sharks said no.

I pitched on Shark Tank India. Every shark passed, and one called the tech buzzwords. No deal. Just a very clear to-do list.

  5. Collage illustration: a bearded founder in a black t-shirt walking into a bright modern gym

    05 · BUILD ANYWAY

    I built it anyway.

No cheque meant no shortcuts. Write the process down. Scale only what is already profitable.
